The Legendary Jeep Truck With a Host of New Features
The Jeep Gladiator has had a couple of enhancements for the 2023 model year. The most significant updates are found within the cabin of the Gladiator. The previous models' Uconnect 3 system with a 5-inch touchscreen is now replaced with a Uconnect 4 system and a 7-inch touchscreen on the base model and above. Furthermore, premium models now have a Uconnect 4C system with an 8.4-inch touchscreen. Also included in premium entertainment systems is a navigation centre and nine Alpine speakers. Other enhancements on the Gladiator include a new standard cabin air filter that removes 95% of air particulates, a new exterior colour, and remote proximity keyless entry, now standard on Overland, Rubicon, and Mojave models.
2023 Jeep Gladiator Performance
The 2023 Gladiator comes with two engine options to choose from. The standard engine is a 3.6-litre Pentastar VVT V6 that produces 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. This engine comes standard with a six-speed automatic transmission and offers an available TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic on higher trim levels. Models equipped with this engine have a payload of up to 1,710 pounds and can tow a maximum of 7,700 pounds. The other engine option is a 3.0-litre EcoDiesel V6 engine with Engine Start/Stop (ESS) technology paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. This engine produces 260 horsepower and 442 lb-ft of torque and can tow up to 6,500 pounds. When equipped with the EcoDiesel engine, the Gladiator has a combined fuel economy rating as low as 9.8 L/100 km. Â
