Engine & Performance

You will find a 2.4-litre four-cylinder engine across the Compass lineup, providing 180 horsepower and 175 lb-ft of torque to the standard front-wheel-drive drivetrain. Channelling the power to the wheels is the six-speed automatic transmission, which switches out for a nine-speed automatic transmission with four-wheel-drive equipped trim levels. The four-wheel-drive system is available for the base trim and standard on the rest of the trims, increasing off-road performance and traction for various driving situations. Some trims, such as the Trailhawk and Trailhawk Elite, feature off-road equipment for more outstanding off-road performance.
